evadne_noel: A man and the cresent moon in a rowboat (better check the oven)
To ease my sorrow resulting from the election, I have decided to put up a brand new, never-before-seen Breadbox. From a movie I saw more than a month ago. In case you hadn't noticed, I'm reallly slow.

This is the sixth time I've tried to put this story up. I hate lots of things (though not EVERYTHING). I think the Powers that Be do not particularly like this story. I can hardly blame them, as I this is not my favorite either. I sound so bitter. And I'm really not. Cynical and sarcastic, yes, but not bitter. Anyway, here's the last HP BBE in my set. At least I'll have the accomplishment of finally putting them all up under my belt.

Because of a PowerPoint presentation I had to prepare, I was unable to finish the Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow Breadbox Edition for today. It will be finished soon, because I only have a few more scenes to get through, but I just didn't have time this weekend. Instead, I decided to put up the second HP BBE because it was pretty well edited beforehand. I didn't really have to edit it because I was always satisfied with this one. It's one of my favorites, probably because the movie is also one of my favorites. I hope everyone enjoys it.

I'm not even going to bother with an introduction, since no one is going to read it.

Well, [livejournal.com profile] makani and [livejournal.com profile] tanaraniel said, "Beowulf!". And, I said, "Damn right, Beowulf!". And since the Beowulf Breadbox Edition is my favorite...here it is:

Well, party peoples, I finally have Internet again. Technically, I had it a few days ago, but I was too busy to do anything important. But now that I'm up and running again, here's the last LotR Breadbox. Hooray!

I swear I will answer all comments tomorrow. I'm just too tired now. Man, this is a long BBE. I think I need to work on keeping them shorter.

Okay, Two Towers is now up. And as I said I would, I will now tell the story of the "a" in Rohan. As you probably know, I spelled Rohan "Rohn" in the original posting of this BBE. You probably thought this was a mistake. It was, and it was not. Here is how it happened:

This story starts back when I put up the Fellowship of the Ring. In that story, as you may have noticed if you're picky about such things, I spelled Galadriel "Galadrial." Enter my friend, Joni, who I think I may have mentioned in my author's notes as one of my best friends. And she is. But she's also a crazy fangirl. (Joni, feel free to refute.) She noticed my misspelling, and immediately jumped all over it. This was kind of annoying, as she mentioned much more often than necessary (sorry, honey).

Spelling pestering continued when I wrote for her a fic you will never ever see because it has adult content and was for Joni's enjoyment only. It was about the Elves (whom she loves) and their incredibly screwed up love lives. But I misspelled something else that I can't remember right now, and am too lazy to look up. However, I do remember it was another word where I subsituted an "a" where there should have been an "e" because Joni accused me of favoring the letter "a," which is patently untrue. I love all letters equally.

To prove to her that I didn't favor the letter "a," I left it out of the word "Rohan" in the Two Towers BBE. Then I gave her a copy, which gave her another heart attack. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to edit what I had written for Joni before posting it on FF.net.

Long story short: The reason "Rohan" had no "a" was because I am spiteful to my friends. Really makes you want to know me, doesn't it?

(Just to let you know, Joni and I play games like this frequently. We really are good friends. Right?)

And now for the fic:

As I promised, I'm slowly putting up all the Breadbox Editions that used to be on fanfiction.net. I plan on editing them first, so it may take a while to get them all up. I'm putting up the three Lord of the Rings Breadboxes in a row because they belong together. First up is Fellowship.

If this version doesn't quite jive with what you remember, it's because I've edited it since I first put it up three years ago. It's largely the same; the changes are just cosmetic. There's less swearing and a few lines I never liked were taken out. You probably won't notice, but I thought I'd warn you.

It may be a while before I can put up Two Towers however. I'm moving on Sunday, and it's going to be hectic for a bit.

Well, folks, they got me. The day I saw fanfiction.net’s proclamation that scripts were not allowed and would be policed more thoroughly, I knew my number was up. That’s why I’ve finally caved and gotten a livejournal. From this point on, all my Breadbox Editions and anything I chose to write in script format will be put up here. I’ll still use FF.net for “Once Upon a Freakin’ Time” and other short stories, but I don’t feel like tempting FF.net anymore.

But, hey, bonus! If you come here, you’ll see my short stories as I write them! I usually don’t update my short stories until I have three, but anything I write will be here as soon as it’s done.

I’m sorry I can’t use fanfiction.net anymore, but the rules are the rules. If you came from the link at my account there, thanks for stopping by. If you didn’t, well, you probably know me and think I’m a huge nerd for writing fanfiction. Well, nuts to you.

Here’s the first Breadbox that I’ll be posting in my livejournal. It’s the original one too!
