Before the good sense kicks in
Aug. 6th, 2006 01:12 am'kay, before the good sense kicks in, and I decide this is no longer funny and not worth reporting to anyone ever, I have to tell you that the best joke ever was made tonight.
priscillapuck will agree with me (at least until her good sense also kicks in).
We were playing Uno (some of us drunkenly), and we were trying to determine house rules by majority rules or by vote, because you have to have house rules when playing Uno. Admittedly, you would think it would be the rules of whoever owns the house, but we wouldn't let said owner of house/apartment get away with that. Anyway, we voted (against mine and present company Jeremy's wishes) to continue drawing cards until you had one you could play if you didn't have the right color/number in your hand. But when someone (can't remember who right now) who voted for the rule dree, like, nine cards in a row, Jeremy said the best thing ever: "Hoisted on your own petarded rule."
Double points for obscure cliche usage AND dumb punnage!
