Christian Slater used to be hot, right? I didn't just conjure that out of the fevered imagination of early adolescence, did I?

Because, seriously, his forehead in That Show That's About to Be Canceled Because They Did the Big Reveal in the First Episode Like Total Morons is freaking me right out and making me doubt my perception of movie history.

Aha, thank you. I feel much better.

It wasn't that great. I dropped out after two episodes. Does NBC offer them online?

I've heard his name before, but I don't actually know who he is, so I can't help you there.

Unless I look at that picture [livejournal.com profile] la_petite_singe posted, in which case, I can tell you that you are completely sane, and DAMN.

...

*snickers* I looked him up on IMDb, partly to see what this Soon To Be Canceled Show was, partly to see if I recognized him from anything. Apart from when he played the uncredited "Easily Fooled Security Guard" in Austin Powers (which means nothing to me, as I haven't seen that movie in years), I haven't seen him in a damn thing.

Unless, of course, you count voice acting, in which case...I know him as Pips. From Ferngully.

Which wouldn't be half as amusing as it is if it weren't for the fact that the last time someone mentioned that movie to me, it was when they provided a link to a Ferngully fanfic.

A Ferngully slash fanfic.

A smutty Ferngully slash fanfic.

I then proceeded to rent the movie specifically so I could read the fic and know who the hell the characters were, as I had forgotten.

See, even in that young picture, it's the forehead that gets me. Maybe just because I know where it's going.

I guess animated Christian doesn't really help. Though, lol ferngully. Man, I remember that movie mostly for Tim Curry.

Well, no. It already gave away it's interesting point and couldn't follow it up with anything.

If you're talking Will Scarlett from Robin Hood: Prince of thieves, then yes, he WAS hot. Particularly when he did his funky little eyebrow lift thing. Methinks he just didn't age as gracefully or as hotfully as Harrison Ford or Sean Connery.

I'm guessing not. Though I think it's kind of funny you found the eyebrows hot, and they freak out the commentator upthread. Weirdly, I can't remember his eyebrows at all.

How could you not!? :) Costner was too old for us to madly crush on when we first saw Robin Hood, so we all fell for Scarlett and his little song:

"There was a rich man from Nottingham
Who tried to cross the river.
What a joke!
He tripped on a rope!
Now look at him shiver!"

^_^ I like that part.

The problem is probably that I watched Robin Hood: Men In Tights so many times, I have forgotten the original source material.

I was watching Heathers earlier today and thinking the same thing. "Dude, he used to be hot. What happened? Oh, yeah, he became a jerk." I'd still do Jason Dean.

Our love is God. Let's go get a Slushie.

Oh, man. Heathers. This post is giving me a desire to re-watch tons of 80s/early 90s movies.

It's such a brilliant film. My friends and I spend the whole time going "WHAT HAPPENED TO CHRISTIAN SLATER? HE USED TO BE SO ATTRACTIVE!"

Christian Slater? Haven't heard that name in a while. I think he used to be hot. Yeah. Will Scarlet in Robin Hood, youse say? Yeah. Definitely remember people obsessing back in the day about how hot they thought he was.

Why, what does he look like now? *googles* Oh. Wow.

Well, I thought Mark Hamill was hot as Luke, but I was not too fond of the older version (http://www.cheekopek.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/princess-leia-08-d.jpg).

Oh, god, why did you show me that? I used to think Luke was hot, too (okay, not as hot as Han, but I'm not picky, and unlike Leia, he wasn't my brother)!
